What to Do After the Giveaway Event Is Over

Your Giveaway Event can last as long or as short as you’d like it to. You might let it last a week or a month, the choice is yours and it’s something that you can discuss with your partners and your team. You do want to make sure that your prospects have time to download and access what you’re offering.

Regardless, once your event is over for those that signed up, it’s not quite over for you. There’s still a bit of work to do.

  • Gather Analytics – Who attended your event? Where are they from and what do they have in common? What did they download? What links did they click on? What partners had great results? What partners didn’t? What products and freebies were most popular? Start gathering this information and organizing it. Hint: you can outsource this project. This information will be valuable when you host another Giveaway Event.
  • Follow-Up with Your Partners – Reach out to your partners. Find out how they perceived the event. Was it successful for them? Why or why not? Would they do it again? What worked well and what would they do differently?
  • Follow-Up with Your New Prospects – You now have a new list of subscribers and a means of connecting with them. Stay in contact with them. Create a follow-up system and engage them in conversation. Consider polling them about the event. Ask them what they liked, didn’t like, and what they would change.
  • Your Team – Talk to your team of support staff and contractors. What would they do differently? What worked well for them? How would they improve things for next time?
  • Organize the Information – Create a folder or binder and organize the materials that you used for this event. Keep everything—all your emails, social media posts, marketing messages, and advertisements. Keep your checklists, your analytics, and your feedback forms. All of this information will be useful to help you host another event that can be easier to host and even more successful.

Assignment

Identify areas of your event that you can analyze and where you can gather data. Get your analytics codes and systems lined up so that you can access this valuable information during and after your event.

Final Thoughts

Congratulations on completing all your challenge tasks! You’ve accomplished so much in a short period of time. You now have knowledge and resources necessary to launch a successful Giveaway Event. You know how to organize it, you know how to find and attract partners, you know how to market your event and you know how to earn a profit from it.

Now that you have your plan in place, it’s time to make it happen. You’ve built up your momentum so don’t stop now. Finish by gathering the items you’re going to give away, contacting potential partners, generating the sales material you’ll need and creating buzz for your event. Then launch your event with confidence.

Once you’ve finished your first event, make notes of what worked, what didn’t, and what you might change in future events. Then use this information along with your lists, outlines, timelines, checklists, and templates over and over to make future events a snap.

To your continued success!
